A TRIP TO NEPAL FOR CANADIAN FORESTERS AND NATURAL RESOURCES PROFESSIONALS

The International Institute of Field Studies (IIFS) is offering a trip to Nepal in the Himalayan region of Nepal as a fund raising event for Forest Without Borders. This program is for anyone interested in cultural, spiritual, educational and mild adventure experiences.  IIFS has been organizing trips in Nepal since 2001.

Activities include an elephant safari to watch rhinoceros and tiger in Chitwan National Park; trekking in the Annapurna region; visit to community forestry projects, and visits to temples, monasteries and other world heritage sites. Other activities include spa, yoga and meditation, and cooking lessons for interested participants.

Logistics

Participants must be in good health, and be open to a variety of cross-cultural experiences.

 

The cost of the program is will be announced in 2023, but can be estimated between $3,000 and $4,000 Canadian, which includes hotels, meals, activities, and local transportation excluding airfare.
